The basic requirements for disc insulator detection：

1) line inspectors in the daily inspection process should pay attention to observe the operation of the disc insulator operating conditions, the line put into operation every 3 to 5 years after the insulator should be detrimental sampling.

2) the operation of the disc-shaped porcelain insulators should be carried out on a regular basis insulation resistance, of which 330kV and above lines should be every 6 years, 220kV and below the line should be every 10 years, heavy soil insulator should be based on the operation to shorten the detection cycle.

3) Insulation resistance measurement shall be carried out only before installation of disc insulator, and technical characteristics shall be tested according to GB / T 1001.1, DL / T 1001.1, JB / T 9677, JB / T 9678.
