Composite insulators size deviation technical requirements

Unless otherwise specified, the composite insulators size deviation should meet the following requirements (d to check the size, unit mm):

a) When ≤300 time: ± (0.04d + 1.5) mm;

b) when d> 300 when: ± (0.025d + 6) mm, the maximum deviation of & plusmn; 50mm.

Design and Manufacturing

Composite insulators insulator at least two parts, namely the mandrel and jacket, and with a metal attachment.

Mandrel

Mandrel within the insulated portion of composite insulators for design ensures mechanical strength. Mandrel with a glass fiber reinforced resin rod is made, should have good acid resistance, should adopt acid mandrel.

Mandrel should be able to withstand long-term mechanical load over a wide temperature range, long-term effects should also bear the operating voltage and short overvoltage. Injection process temperature mandrel should be used. Mandrel should meet DL / T 864 requirements.

Mandrel in the longitudinal and transverse dielectric strength, glass fiber content, moisture, etc. should meet strict quality control standards, the dye penetration test, water diffusion test shall conform to Section 5.4.1 GB / T 19519 Appendix D and 5.4 .2 the provisions of Article.

Jacket and umbrella skirt outer insulation jacket is part of composite insulators, which provide the necessary creepage distance and protection from climate impacts mandrel. Sheds sheath projection is to increase the creepage distance. The minimum thickness of 220kV and below voltage mandrel sheath shall be not less than 3.0mm, 500kV voltage grade core

Stick jacket should not be less than the minimum thickness 4.5mm, jacket sheds made of the same material.

Sheath and sheds should be integrally molded (by injection or compression molding).

The interface between the jacket and umbrella skirt and jacket mandrel and between the composite insulators should be permanent bonding. Bonding part should be highly dense, no air bubbles and cracks to prevent grime and moisture to enter, and the adhesive strength should be greater than the breaking strength of the composite material itself.
